BIRDWATCHING IN ESPÍRITO SANTO

LINHARES

BIRDWATCHING LOCATIONS AND CONTACT WITH NATURE

REGÊNCIA

Regência is a small village located at the mouth of the Doce River. Regência is a district in the city Linhares in Espírito Santo, Brazil. The region has recently been suffering from the environmental tragedy caused by the disruption of the Samarco mining dam. Nevertheless, it is a region worth visiting for its wide variety of shorebirds. With your visit, you will be contributing to the maintenance of the local economy, severely affected by the tragedy. The dirt road to the village is characterized by pastures on both sides, with small shrubs growing here and there. Regência is not only famous for its birds that inhabit the beaches. Its main attraction are the waves, perfect for surfing, the Festa de Caboclo Bernardo, meeting of congo bands from all of Espírito Santo, the traditional Festa dos Pescadores de Regência and the TAMAR Project.
