We believe in the power of our society and children to make this world a better place for future generations. With this project we, the Instituto Últimos Refúgios, want to report and inform about the Rio Doce environmental catastrophe, because the victims and environment continue to suffer the consequences.
With the project “Lágrimas do Rio Doce” (Tears of the Sweet River) we want to produce a digital collection of photographs, videos and interviews, featuring the reality of local wildlife and inhabitants, as well as show that unsustainable development and the valorization of money over life, comes at a price too high to pay. Our material will be transformed into cultural products, exhibitions, articles, videos etc., in order to reach the greatest possible number of people around the world.
If you want to help, but are not quite sure how, support this project. We need to unite people who think alike and who want to support the positive changes we all want to see in our world. Help us to raise enough money to reach the greatest possible number of children. They are our future, and if we want to change it for the better, conscious and more sustainable attitudes and actions have to be taken now.
