ABOUT US

The Últimos Refúgios Institute is a non-profit socio-environmental and cultural organization that promotes environmental awareness since 2011, stimulating the dialogue between the society, environmental organizations, the private sector and governmental institutions. Our focus is wildlife photography, environmental filmmaking and science communication. We use conservation photography as our main tool to promote environmental awareness and encourage the adoption of new habits, through workshops, art exhibitions and awareness-raising activities. We understand our role as an inspiring source for society to take the next step, organize sustainable activities themselves, implement interventions and demand the compliance with environmental regulations from the responsible parties.
